GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the operations of the Department(s) under medical direction.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the daily operations of the Department(s). Develops, evaluates, and implements department policies and procedures. (35%)
  • Selects, monitors, and develops staff to ensure a professional, motivated, well-informed and knowledgeable staff by completing performance evaluations, providing ongoing feedback, and identifying learning needs. (30%)
  • Manages ongoing departmental quality assurance and performance improvement activities.  Coordinates and prepares all the designated departments for inspection by the various accrediting agencies. (20%)
  • Develops and oversees all operating budgets within the designated departments. Ensures the department(s) are adequately equipped and supplied to deliver services outlined in the departments Scopes of Service and or Mission Statement. (10%)
  • Performs clinical duties according to hospital and department policies. (5%)
  • Oversees QA, linearity, Calibration verification C Cap regulation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s Degree; or one to two years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PA license and registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT) BCLS.
  • 5 years clinical experience in respiratory care required; previous supervisory experience.

  • Previous Experience
  • Masters Degree
