GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Revenue Cycle Trainer – QA Specialist ensures that the resources allocated to the Hospital Revenue Cycle team receive standardized workflow procedure training and that deviations in the established procedures are promptly mitigated.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains detailed, step-by-step where indicated, training materials, both paper and electronic for the Hospital Revenue Cycle team. (20%)
  • Conducts initial and subsequent new employee or new-to-role training for the Hospital Revenue Cycle team. (20%)
  • Develops and maintains reporting that will identify deviations in standardized processes and distribute to stakeholders accordingly. (20%)
  • Maintains a working knowledge of changes to CMS/State billing guidelines or contract-specific payer guidelines to adjust training materials as required. (20%)
  • Develops manager-level audit materials that may be used to determine the level of procedural compliance by members of the Hospital Revenue Cycle team. (10%)
  • Prepares and conducts periodic desk-audits as requested by management. (10%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Degree in Finance or health related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with the development and implementation of healthcare revenue cycle management training and auditing materials and implementation programs.
