Description

Design analyst must be able to work independently, and should also possess the communication skills needed to collaborate with peers. The candidate will be evaluating customer data, template design requirements, and design per the customer specifications.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of postal software to prep and sort mail data according to specs necessary to produce work for the USPS
  • Understanding of Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat) to produce print materials according to job specs using an XMPie plugin.
  • Prepress, color knowledge, imposition and layout knowledge of print files are key factors in determining how work must be produced.
  • Understanding of digital presses and how they produce work.
  • Assists and actively participates on project teams in various roles.
  • Effectively communicates with team members and management, including assisting with or conducting technical walkthroughs and reporting project statuses.
  • Assists in collaborating with business analysts and IT team members to understanding business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality design solutions. 
  • Assists in providing technical support to team members and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate GED 0 – 1 year of experience in Information Technology, composition design or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates with the following skillset will be highly qualified for this position:

  • Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
  • Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Postal regulations and design knowledge.
  • BCC Mail Manager knowledge (willing to train)
  • Prepress and imposition knowledge and workflow management
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Good analytical and communications skills
  • Previous experience in a print facility a plus.
