Description

This Technology Administrator position will provide system administration services for the Informatica platform for an enterprise environment. This includes management of the software, servers and content within the environment, as well as delivering support services to the user community to provide a robust scalable platform for future growth in a multi-tenant environment.
 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform system administration duties such as software deployments, system backups, software patching and upgrades.
  • Monitor the environment to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting service levels.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support the environment and user community.
  • Administer security permissions, and ensure compliance to required corporate standards, procedures, guidelines and processes, including audits.
  • Mentor and train end users in the use of the technology.
  • Document the configuration of the system, system controls, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree or IT Trade School Diploma
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant, progressive experience in the area of specialization
  • Due to Department of Defense (DoD) Contract requirements, the incumbent who fills this position must be a US citizen, and must also pass a background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field, or 5+ years of work experience in a professional Information Technology role
  • 2 - 5 years of experience administering the Informatica platform in an enterprise environment, which includes installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning and end user support of Power Center, Big Data Manager, Enterprise Data Catalog, etc.
  • Strong Linux server administration skills
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, customers and management, including assisting with or conducting technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus
  • Good understanding of relational database technology
  • Ability to solve problems and apply resolutions
  • Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
