JOB SUMMARY

This job will strategically partner with executive leaders and contribute to client strategy and objective setting while influencing HR strategy.  Provides HR consulting to leaders on a broad range of HR issues.  Serves as a key member of the client leadership team to assist in driving business results by developing and implementing talent strategies to successfully execute client business strategy. Focuses on a thorough understanding of the business being served, tailors HR programs to meet specific business needs, designs and plans interventions that facilitate organization changes.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a key member of the client leadership team to assist in driving business results by developing and implementing human capital strategy requirements to successfully execute client business strategy.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen the organization by focusing on leadership needs and key themes identified as part of the business strategy and organizational and talent review processes.  Initiatives include working with leaders to create strategies to close talent gaps, identifying a highly effective leadership team, developing bench strength for succession planning and talent management. 
  • Encourage building strength though diversity.
  • Design and implement retention strategies.
  • Coach leaders on their personal efficacy and leadership impact.
  • Lead a team of HRBP’s aligned to specific client business areas. Implements and improves HR processes to drive improved business results.
  • Oversee and evaluate the results of HR initiatives that impact client operations and results.
  • Direct the development and implementation of plans, policies, and programs designed to maintain satisfactory relations between management and organized labor including conducting, participating or advising on contract negotiations.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning process for critical roles in business areas including identifying future capacity/capability needs and developing strategies to address key gaps.
  • Act as a change agent with leadership to drive organizational change through the application of a common framework, process and set of best practice tools, which prepare employees for ongoing change and transformation.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 years of experience in Human Resources
  • 3 years of HR Management experience

Preferred

  • Master’s degree
  • 5 years of strategic HR consultative experience
  • PHR or SHPR Certification

  • Strong proficiency and proven success leading HR organizations to further business strategies and create competitive advantage
  • Proven track record of leading large, complex organizational changes
  • Ability to think strategically and transform strategy into action
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work with leaders on business strategy and talent implications
  • Credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior leadership
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts and proposals
  • Capability of quantitative analysis with a proven ability to work with financial data
