Job Summary

This Executive Leader is responsible for the build, deployment and operations associated with the Enterprise Data Hub for Analytics (EDH). Included with this responsibility is leadership of Data Governance for both the data hub and in support of overall Enterprise Data Governance, EDH Data Quality, EDH Data Engineering, EDH Data Integration, EDH Data Analysis and EDH Data Testing. Responsibilities also include collaboration with all analytics leaders of the organization to assure the data hub and associated domains support analytic needs.  This VP is also responsible for conceiving, building and supporting new data domains that will augment the project plan for the build of the EDH.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.  Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.
  • Executive responsible for the build, deployment and ongoing augmentation of the Enterprise Data Hub.  This includes ongoing strategic design of the EDH and consideration of new technologies and technological enhancements that are required to keep the infrastructure and function of the EDH at the front of technology capabilities.  This VP will provide the leadership of multiple teams associated with the building of the HUB.  It is also responsible for the ongoing coordination of multiple consulting and staffing firms to provide expertise and staffing that support the build and augmentation of the EDH.
  • Responsible for the ongoing operations of the Enterprise Data Hub.  This includes appropriate audit controls as-well-as disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.
  • Leadership of teams responsible for support and administration of the Enterprise Data Governance function.  In particular this includes working with other leaders of Governance, specifically privacy and security. 
  • Responsible for coordination of Enterprise Analytic data needs across all enterprise analytic teams.  This includes coordination of data domain builds to best meet operational requirements across and within each analytic department.  Primary teams include Highmark Health, Highmark Inc, ANH, HMHS and Gateway.  Also included is responsibility for coordination with HMHS on the sale and inclusion of platform customers within the EDH.

Education

  • Bachelors in Business Administration/Management, Information Technology Management Information Systems or related field is required
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration/Management or Information Technology or Management Information Systems is preferred

Experience

  • 10 - 15 years of Data Warehousing
  • 7 - 10 years of Information Systems
  • 5 - 7 years of Data Analytics
  • 5 - 7 years of Healthcare Industry
