JOB SUMMARY

This job works within a self-directed team that partners with Allegheny Health Network and Highmark Inc. to identify insurance service experience, condition management and care delivery pain points.  Develops, co-creates, or procures and invests in new solutions/products to maximize both health and cost impact. Responsible for developing and delivering diverse types of innovation learning to execute on new solutions across the integrated care delivery system.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead cross-functional teams to problem solve using agile, lean-start or sprint methodologies to drive innovation. Synthesize research information, identifies insights and applies to product design. Communicate complex innovation ideas/strategies to all levels of the enterprise and clearly articulates the value proposition of initiatives to key stakeholders in the business.
  • Identify, develop and drive concepts through innovation process while demonstrating value and success of the solution/product/service.  
  • Co-create, test and learn with external partners, including start-ups.  Identify external partner opportunities and emerging trends. 
  • Design, develop, and test new solutions/products/services to position organization at the leading edge of health. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve the overall experience, reduce barriers and  create value for our enterprise partners, customers, and other external partners. 
  • Partner with internal departments to make decisions on innovation investment opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Master's degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing, Health, Administration, or Finance

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 5 - 7 years of product development experience
  • 3 - 5 years of leadership experience
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in innovation

Preferred

  • 5 - 7 years of expereince in the healthcare industry
  • 5 - 7 years of business development experience
  • 3 - 5 years of disease/condition management experience
  • 3 - 5 years of product implementation experience
  • 3 - 5 years of research and development experience
  • 3 - 5 years of vendor management experience
