JOB SUMMARY:

This is a terrific growth opportunity to be part of a new and exciting inside sales team dedicated to fostering a collaborative and solutions-oriented environment and helping to enroll prospective members in a Highmark Medicare plan.

Through inbound and outbound sales opportunities, incumbent will meet/exceed established sales and retention targets over the phone through the use of consultative sales approach.

On-site training and assistance with licensing will be available to qualified candidates.    

*Competitive base with sales incentive opportunity.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds to inbound sales calls and makes outbound follow-up calls to prospective Highmark Medicare members.
  • Highly effective and engaging communication style with ability to influence decisions both written and verbally.
  • Must be comfortable making plan presentations, handling sales obstacles and asking for the sale over the phone.
  • Meet and exceed established new sales and retention targets over the phone. Accountabilities may include driving face-to-face sales opportunities to alternate sales channels.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Sr. Markets sales staff to ensure effective communication of sales leads, trends and issues. 
  • Provides feedback to Management to help establish best practices across matrix partners and optimize the customer experience. 
  • Educate Medicare-eligible individuals while adhering to company policies, National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) guidelines and, CMS regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION:

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred

  • Associate's Degree

EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • 2 years of experience and proven track record selling insurance while meeting/exceeding sales targets.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Required

  • PA and/or WV and/or DE Producer's License with lines of authority in Accident and Health, or must be obtained with 45 days of hire

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Medicare markets and strong desire and skill-set to learn.
  • Experience with PC software including Microsoft suite products.
  • Demonstrated understanding of traditional selling concepts
