JOB SUMMARY

This job is responsible for strategy ideation, leadership and direction for the sales and marketing efforts of the portfolio of Senior Market products in all regions. The incumbent drives growth strategy through the sale of Medicare Advantage products through retail channels. Establishes strategies associated with Marketing and Advertising to support product sales. Accountabilities include: Sales/retention strategies and execution, sales enablement, marketing strategy approval and connecting with micro markets approach. 


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.  Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.
  • Provide leadership, oversight and direction to the sales efforts for all Senior Market products in multiple regions.
  • Create and implement the sales growth strategy for Highmark Senior Products in multiple geographic locations to achieve sales goals for all product lines.
  • Develop and communicate enrollment forecast and Sr. Market performance targets to support the established growth strategy.
  • Ensure effectiveness of all sales channels and ensure appropriate utilization to achieve sales goals.
  • Oversee the broker relationships accountable for the sales of Sr. Market products to ensure effectiveness, alignment with our sales.
  • strategy and compliance with product requirements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the marketing efforts for the Senior Market line of business including: strategy, budget and outcomes. 
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.


EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 7 - 10 years Progressive management experience in a health insurance sales environment.
  • 7 - 10 years Previous direct sales experience in health insurance
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent problem resolution abilities, and motivational/leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Sale experience in a Medicare Advantage product portfolio

LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONS

Required

  • State specific producer license accident & health required or obtained within 45 days of hire

SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of Medicare Advantage products and compliance requirements.
  • Broad understanding of benefit, product rating language, agent plan activities, and MA competitive forces and market needs
  • Broad understanding of the alignment of product marketing and sales efforts
