WHAT IS CHALLENGING and EXCITING ABOUT THIS ROLE?
The Highmark Advanced Analytics Team is excited to add a Senior Decision Support Analyst who is eager to join an organization that will positively impact the performance of the Health Plan and the Provider Network within Highmark Health. This a highly visible position will produce key analytics that may reach up to the office of Highmark’s Chief Medical Officer, who can use this information to determine if high-value performance goals are being met as well as identify areas where there needs to be more focus.
The selected individual will join a high performing team of professionals including other Decision Support Analysts (DSA), Actuaries, and Business Analysts. This position will challenge the successful Sr. DSA to perform and achieve at the highest level with the opportunity to know that his/her contributions are important to the company’s strategic leadership in the achievement of better performance and financial goals.
This job works closely with customers and design teams in prioritizing data and information requirements. The incumbent provides analysis in the development and support of projects and data analysis. Determines how decision support systems will provide information required to make effective business decisions; translates requirements into applications that employ appropriate decision support and reporting tools. Recommends innovative approaches to analytical investigations. Performs modeling of data sources and flows, works with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define, develop and implement policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure delivery of knowledge and information.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Information Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or related field
Master's degree in Computer/Information Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering or Operations Research, or related field
