JOB SUMMARY

This job generates value across the Organization by providing end-to-end management and delivery of client facing projects that utilize department offererings included, but not limited to: capability analysis and definition; operating model definition; organization and job design; governance and decision rights; process engineering, and metrics design.  The incumbent works closely with senior/executive leadership to identify, prioritize, and deliver large and small scale consulting projects that advance business outcomes and achieve strategic objectives.  Supports other key objectives designed to build/strengthen Company effectiveness capabilities and drive continuous improvement efforts.  Will be responsible for professional coaching and mentoring of project team members.            

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of Enterprise Effectiveness engagements taking ownership of the engagement deliverables, resources, and outcomes.
  • Lead and manage project team members and/or external consultants.
  • Work closely with executive project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure on-going alignment with project objectives, activities, and outcomes.
  • Continually gauge the client environment and identify project related issues and risks.
  • Develop team members through professional coaching, mentorship, and frequent, high-quality performance discussions.
  • Periodically brief the Vice President, Enterprise Effectiveness on project status including timelines, risks, and issues.
  • Identify and raise escalations as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Vice President, Enterprise Effectiveness to develop the engagement business case, scope, charter, and staffing model.
  • Conduct periodic market scans to understand industry leading practices and drive continuous improvement in department approaches, methods, and tools and organizational awareness of department capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION

Minimum

  • Graduate Degree

Substitutions

Preferred

  • Master's Degree - MBA or MHA

EXPERIENCE

Minimum

  • 5 years of directly related work experience
  • 2  years of post-graduate degree experience in strategy, operations, mergers and acquisitions, or human capital practice in a consulting firm environment

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare/insurance industry
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed environments
  • Experience working in or across multiple business functions (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • Demonstration of core strategic organization design competencies
