JOB SUMMARY


This job manages the staff responsible for reviewing and analyzing monthly financial results of various products.  Performs budget and financial functions for special projects.  Acts as divisional liaison with financial departments.  Analyze and report monthly revenue and enrollment numbers.  Performs high-level ad hoc financial and actuarial inquiries.  


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate effectively.
  • Manage, analyze and report the monthly financial results to identify the cause of deviations from performance plan and the impact the deviations will have on the expected product performance.
  • Assist in the creating of the annual divisional financial forecast.  
  • Completion of ad hoc requests and special projects when needed.  
  • Manage projects from start to finish.  
  • Management and direction of staff.  
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.


QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or an accounting field.
  • 6 years financial analysis experience
  • 2 years experience in project management, delivering presentations or leading group discussions.
  • 3 years of management or leadership experience    

Preferred

  • CPA
  • 2 years Medicare Advantage experience

Skills 

  • Skills using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience using report writers and query tools, specifically MS Access or SAS.
  •  Experience working with all levels of management
  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills while working in collaboration with others
  • Must understand the various components of financial reports, project planning, and profitability 
  • Strong working knowledge of CMS regulations governing Medicare products.
