GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates programs designed to teach electronic health record systems to others; works cooperatively with the information management system to coordinate training needs; serves as a liaison among end users of the system.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates to plan, coordinate, provide, and evaluate entry level, advanced, and continuing education on the clinical computer system to staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Serves as a liaison among end users to resolve training issues related to the clinical information system.
  • Develops training materials for the clinical computer system.
  • Maintains the training resources for use in employee training, and facilitates sign-on codes for each user.
  • Detailed knowledge of clinical workflow as it pertains to the use of the clinical information systems.
  • Participates in clinical systems upgrade planning to determine training development and communication for enhancements made to the systems.
  • Maintains testing scripts for all systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Associate's degree in health related field or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Experience in health or allied health related field
  • Experience in using electronic health record systems
  • IT experience
