JOB SUMMARY

This job manages external vendors, conducts matrix management of internal partners(matrix partners), creates/monitors associated SLAs  (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), involvement in Strategic Initiatives (STIs), and regulatory/compliance and financial oversight in conjunction with the respective matrix partners.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Partnership & Performance management team to develop, maintain and manage external vendor partners including SLAs, KPIs and strategic planning.  Research possible vendors to meet changing member needs via effective and differentiating programs / services.  Define and develop contracts and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.  Manage the vendor implementation process including data feeds, document processes, and communicating vendor capabilities to Sales, Marketing, and others as needed.
  • Manage relationships, performance and delivery with internal partners and lead matrix management efforts and initiatives.
  • Conduct regulatory and compliance strategy and oversight related to vendor/matrix partner management activities and other key Senior Markets operations (e.g., Sales, Marketing, etc.)
  • Conduct budget and related financial oversight for Senior Markets, in partnership with matrix partners and other corporate departments.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or Systems

Substitutions

  • 6 years of Vendor Management or Oversight in lieu of Bachelor's degree

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or Systems and/or professional certification

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 5 years in Financial Management, Sales and/or Strategic Planning
  • 4 years in Financial Contract Negotiation and Management
  • 3 years in Management

Preferred

  • Experience with Health Promotion/Engagement strategies
  • Experience managing and developing a staff of professionals

SKILLS

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Detail oriented individual who is able to work in a fast paced environment with competing and changing priorities. 
  • This job must be able to read, comprehend, and decipher complex notices from regulatory entities, such as CMS and DPW, to ensure that work processes are compliant and be able to document work processes or changes required to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to coordinate complex activities across functional lines of operations, under tight timelines
  • Working knowledge of health insurance industry
  • History of successfully completing complex projects as both a sole contributor and as a team lead.
