JOB SUMMARY

This job partners with the Director of Nurse Leader Development to refine, implement and evaluate the AHN Nursing Way in alignment with the Core Behaviors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, establishing Client-Consultant partnerships, developing, executing and evaluating organizational development plans, facilitating complex workgroups, i.e. Network-wide Patient Medication Safety Summit, planning, implementing and evaluating leadership development activities which are predicated upon the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve the metrics established in the Nurse Leader Scorecards.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish relationships with AHN Nurse Leaders as the foundation for creating Client-Consultant partnerships from which Action Plans will be developed.
  • Evaluate the leadership/management evidence,  create, implement and evaluate leadership development activities in The Nursing Leadership Academy which include  live and self-learning options.
  • Facilitate complex workgroups and/or Retreats
  • Conduct 1:1  coaching sessions with AHN Nurse Leaders
  • Conduct programmatic design which aligns with The AHN Nursing Way designed to expand/enhance the services in the Nursing Leadership Academy. For example, creation of The Explorer Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Education or Business

Substitutions

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Education or Business
  • Doctorate Degree in Nursing, Education or Business

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 - 5 years in Operational Leadership with Budgeting and Performance Management responsibilities
  • 1 - 3 years in Learning/Development with adults
  • 1 - 3 years in Consultation/Facilitation

Preferred

  • 1 - 3 years in Instructional Design
  • 1 - 3 years in Coaching

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Required

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Certified Health Leader (CHL)
