The Allegheny Health Network seeks Senior Developers (multiple openings) to work in Pittsburgh, PA, to analyze, design, code, test, and implement systematic Business Intelligence solutions to meet customer requirements. Will provide general support to maintain applications that meet the service levels, system availability, performance, and quality levels required by their customers. Specific job duties will include analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing application enhancements as well as providing general production support, meeting defined scope, target dates, and budgets with minimal or no defects; utilizing and participating in the full system development cycle; and collaborating with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.
Will also accept a master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in a related position.
Must also have any experience with: (i) gathering business requirements and system specifications from business operational owners; (ii) SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and BIDS;(iii) resolving processing issues related to software, hardware, and/or data communication problems; (iv) database optimization and tuning, normalization, backup/restore, and data importing/exporting; (v) SQL tuning to maximize query performance and efficiency; (vi) designing Star, Snowflake, and more complex data warehouse schemas for the data model using ER-win or similar tools; (vii) designing SSIS packages to load the staging table data to production table; and (viii) creating documents to define AHN EDW environments, rules, etc.
Must be able to work shifts between 6:30am and 7:00pm M-F as well as 8am-4:30pm Sat/Sun. Must also be able to work 24-hour coverage on a rotating shift basis.
