GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Manage and maintain use of decision support system reporting, contract management software and financial estimates.  Provides financial and operational reporting for business segments, payor profitability and physician financial and clinical performance along with other analysis as directed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will manage clinical and financial reporting, including business segment analysis, physician reporting, inpatient/outpatient analysis and payor profitability.
  • Manages maintenance and reconciliation of decision support systems (DSS) and contract management.
  • Incumbent will assist in Revenue Cycle optimization projects from a data repository perspective.
  • Incumbent will provide direction and leadership, advocacy for DSS and Contract management. 
  • Interact with the user community and MIS personnel as part of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related field required.  Working knowledge of cost accounting and reimbursement principles required. 
  • 5-7 years of demonstrated job related work experience in finance required.  Prior experience in a financial healthcare setting. 
  • Detailed knowledge of DSS repository tools and data is required.
  •  Detailed knowledge of cost accounting and health care reimbursement is required. 
  • Report writing design and implementation knowledge of/expertise in: Crystal, SQL, OLAP cubes, Excel and Access programming is required. 
  • Ability to analyze data, anticipate requests and draw conclusions critical.
