JOB SUMMARY

This job provides strategic human resource consulting to leaders on a broad range of human resource issues. The job is also a key member of a business solutions team (BST) which partners with client leaders to develop talent and workforce strategies to accomplish business results. The job will be focused on execution of  talent strategy developed by the business solutions team and execution of human resource strategy, programs and processes developed by the practice areas and will require strong collaboration and partnership with business solutions team members and practice area leaders. Also plays a key client relationship role with the director through supervisor level and will act as a trusted advisor and  will require attendance at staff meetings. The job will build and strengthen relationships  and coach leaders to accelerate leadership effectiveness and maximize results. May lead or participate in projects that  support client-specific talent initiatives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • HR: Strategy Execution: Translate and execute business strategy into functional human resource strategy; Execute talent and human resource strategies; Implement programs, processes and tools of the practice areas.  Evaluates the results of human resource initiatives that impact client operations and results. Anticipate future human resource requirements of client based on business, industry and market conditions.
  • Human resource consulting: Provide consulting to leaders on a broad range of human resource issues; Including reduction-in-forces, performance management and  ensuring consistency on goal setting, pay positioning and performance differentiation and distribution.
  • Talent Management: Strengthen the organization through talent planning activities such as risk mitigation strategies and career mobility planning; leadership assimilation, talent continuity planning and consultation for retention and career mobility planning; Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Leadership Development: Coach leaders to accelerate leadership effectiveness and maximize results; Facilitate manager assimilation (new hire, acquisition and internal movement).
  • Workforce Planning/Analytics: Forecast  & plan talent pipeline requirements in line with function or business strategy; Provide workforce planning inputs to team members; Implement workforce plan within client base, leveraging practice areas for driving optimal results; Assist in execution of acquisition integration strategy; Create analytic reporting dashboards; Measure, track and analyze key talent metrics. Identify and share trends in key metrics.
  • Change Management: Drive change management practices to enable organizational effectiveness, incorporating diversity & inclusion strategy to foster culture of inclusion that will maximize our competitive advantage and skills of the workforce. Facilitate cultural integration planning; Develop strategies to foster employee engagement and commitment.
  • Participate in specific projects as determined in the annual human resource operational plan and contribute to functional and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree- Human Resource, Business or Management

Substitutions (Acceptable substitutions in lieu of a degree 1 ½ years’ experience  = 1 year college)

Human Resources, Business or Management

EXPERIENCE

Minimum:

  • 5 years experience in human resources
  • Broad human resources knowledge and experience in key functional areas of staffing, compensation, employee relations or talent management

Preferred

  • 7+ years experience in human resources

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and reprioritize
  • Strong proficiency and proven success leading human resource organizations to further business strategies and create competitive advantage
  • Ability to transform strategy into strong business acumen
  • Ability to work with leaders on business strategy and talent implications
  • Credibility as a trusted adviser and confidant to senior leadership highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts and proposals
  • Capability of quantitative analysis with a proven ability to work with financial data
  • Proven track record of leading large, complex organizational changes
