GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This position will hold a major role in the implementation and expansion of the Meds to Beds program.  Individuals will be involved in the process of completing medication histories at admission, opting patients into the Meds-To-Beds Program, filling all prescriptions associated with the discharge to home, and delivery to the bedside prior to discharge.                               

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete patient medication histories upon admission, and opting patients into meds to beds program
  • Prescription data entry, billing, and delivery
  • Fill/Count prescriptions at outpatient pharmacy
  • Process prescription prior authorizations
  • Complete other pharmacy-related tasks as assigned by pharmacy manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • High school diploma/GED
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within 6 months of hire

Preferred

  • Associate’s degree
  • 2 years experience in outpatient retail pharmacy
