JOB SUMMARY

This job manages post-implementation partnership and other external client business relationships for HM Health Solutions. This includes partnership business with other Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans nationally as HMHS markets the assets of the business units to external customers. This will enable HM Health Solutions to grow strategic partnerships resulting in increased membership on platform and increased subscriptions fees to Highmark.  Accountable for managing the overall post-implementation relationships and services provided by Highmark, requiring coordination with IT and Health Plan Operations.  Clients could be purchasing the following services: Platform Application Services, Managed Infrastructure Serviced, Data Center Hosting Services, Print Services, Business Process Services or Other services, such as projects to implement new functionality.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage client relationships with a workload of existing HM Health Solutions commercial clients.
  • Retain and grow existing business while managing the profitability of the assigned accounts. As such, the candidate is responsible for managing a client-based P&L, meeting sales and profitability targets. Work with clients to develop clear, value propositions that meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Manage the priorities of the client while simultaneously serving as a leader and mentor to other staff who may wish to be considered for this level of client management in the future.  In addition to client management responsibilities, this position must have the ability to use established relationships within Highmark to manage large scale change and initiate projects in a manner that demonstrates familiarity with proven change models.
  • Lead initiatives to marshal all appropriate and necessary resources to achieve results and meet client deadlines
  • Find alternate ways to complete typical client management tasks when one (standard or known) approach fails (challenging internal support systems to “raise the bar”).
  • Ensure that client issues and problems are heard at the right levels of Highmark management and champion client interests as one of Highmark’s most valued revenue drivers.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree

Substitutions

  • 4 years of experience in leading client services and management

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 10 years of experience working in the Health Insurance Industry
